More information:The General Post Office of Pakistan is one of the oldest government departments on the continent. In 1947, it began operating as a postal and telegraph service. In 1962, it was separated from the telegraph telephone service and became an independent department to start work. Through its network of approximately 13,000 post offices, Pakistan provides postal services to every corner of Pakistan. As a community service, Pakistan Post offers delivery services to 20 million homes and businesses at no cost. Pakistan Post also provides a Universal Postal Service network and maintains a strategic relationship with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) to ensure that mail is delivered in a timely and secure manner.
